Personal Information:
To help us provide a full commentary for the public over the weekend, would you please bring the following with you to Friday evening NZKA flier registration:
• About you
• Your kite journey – how long you have been flying; what drew you to flying; what’s your favourite thing about flying, etc
• About your kite(s) – artistic design, making, flying
Accommodation:
You are responsible for booking your own accommodation. You have a number of options for your accommodation in Otaki:
NZKA Flier Registration – Friday, 4th March
The Tele Hotel, Cnr Main & Te Rauparaha Streets, Otaki – 5.30-6.30pm
Please Contact Us if you are unable to make this registration. We will have your Registration Pack at the OPG Info Tent on Saturday morning ready for you to collect.
At the Beach:
Any help with setting up would be greatly appreciated, as would banners and poles to help us decorate the area. Beach FM will be broadcasting from the event. There will again be a number of market stalls including food.
The Surf Club has very generously allowed us to share their clubrooms; we are in their space so please be respectful of that.
Otaki Kite Festival Merchandise:
We will have a number of items for sale at the Info Tent over the weekend. We hope to have samples at the Friday evening NZKA registration for you to view and order.

FREE Registration entitlements.
- Use of the Surf Club rooms on Saturday and Sunday for bathroom facilities, respite & refreshments
- Entry into the flying zone
- Have your kites transported to & from the flying zone on the large Surf Club trailer
- Store your kites overnight in the Surf Club secure garage
- Packed lunch on Saturday and Sunday
- Saturday evening celebration dinner (7pm at Riverstone Café; BYO) - free for NZKA members flying over the weekend only; please indicate if people travelling with you wish to attend ($20pp). Please note - numbers are limited.
Please complete a separate form for each NZKA member who will be flying at the festival. The form asks for the person to register for each section in the programme – see right column.
Please Contact Us if there are others in your travelling party who wish to attend a workshop ($25pp) or the Saturday evening dinner ($20pp).
